About me

Hi, I'm Hannah and I'm a qualified Hypnobirthing teacher, supporting parents-to-be in British Forces Cyprus from my base in Episkopi. I'm also a registered Clinical Psychologist, with over 10 years experience of working therapeutically with people, and enjoy bringing this expertise into my teaching sessions to help the mums and couples that I work with.

I was inspired to train to be a Hypnobirthing teacher after my own experience of Hypnobirthing when I had my son, Apollo. I had such a positive birth experience, feeling in control and comfortable throughout our labour. I was so grateful for having had the opportunity to learn a new empowering way of understanding birth that I wanted to share it with other women. And so Serenity Birth was born.
I firmly believe that our bodies are designed to give birth, though unfortunately society has taught us not to trust our own bodies. This has resulted in a situation where women feel disempowered and scared at the prospect of birth. I wish for women (and babies, and indeed birth partners) to have relaxed, empowering experiences characterised by joy and comfort, as I know to be possible.
